…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 AM CDT FOR NORTHWESTERN MADISON AND NORTHWESTERN CARROLL COUNTIES… At 440 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing tornadoes were located along a line extending from 4 miles southwest of Eureka Springs to 3 miles northeast of Hindsville, moving northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD…Tornado. SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
Locations in or near the path include… Eureka Springs… Grandview… Clifty… Rockhouse… Pleasant Ridge… PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM CST FRIDAY…

Mixed precipitation at the onset before quickly transitioning to mainly all snow.

Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and locally higher along with possible ice accumulations of a light glaze.
Portions of east central and northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Friday. IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute Friday.

Tornado Watch

Holiday Island is currently under a Tornado watch until 08:00 pm tonight. Storms are beginning to come through the area with some being severe. 75 MPH winds are possible. Take necessary precautions now!

Road closed due to MVA

HIFD responded to a single vehicle mva pulling a trailer. Due to slick, icy road conditions, the intersection of Woodsdale and Pleasant Ridge will be closed until the area can be cleared.

Update: Woodsdale DrIve is now open.

Missing person

A 77 year old female resident of Holiday Island, Audrey Bott has been missing since 2:00 PM the 18th she was last seen in a 2007 bronze Honda Accord lic. Number 480-UFW if seen contact local law enforse
